Millennial is the rhythm of the ora et labora (prayer and work) for the Benedictine Monastic comunity of Bastia Umbra which throughout history has overcome wars, deletions and removails.
Since the beginning of the year 1000 up to 1398 the nuns lived in the Monastery of St. Paul of the Abbesses where 28 of march 1211 welcomed St. Claire who began her journey of consecration after St. Francis had cut her hair at the Portiuncola.

Since 1649 the community residing in the ancient castele of Counts Baglioni (Rocca Baglionesca) to the old town of Bastia, and since then continuosly praise God rises seven times a day, as well as St. Benedict writes in his rule “Prefer nothing to God’s work”.
